Girls facing violence can’t Learn or Grow.

1 in 3 women worldwide will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

03

Our impact becomes
Sustainable.

01

Our Work is
Holistic.

We provide immediate medical care and stabilisation through a survivor recovery centre. We equip survivors with practical skills like henna and tailoring, alongside startup capital to begin earning. We support girls to return to school and stay in education by removing barriers to re-entry.We connect recovery, learning, and income into one system that moves survivors from crisis to independence.

02

Our approach is
Community-led.

The solutions already exist within communities. We work alongside survivors, families, schools, local leaders, and community groups to challenge harmful norms, strengthen protection systems, and create environments where girls can thrive. The people closest to the problem are closest to the solution.

Short-term support isn't enough. We equip survivors and young women with the skills, confidence, networks, and opportunities they need to build independent futures. As they heal and succeed, they become leaders who help others do the same.

Decades of effort and millions of dollars have been invested in addressing gender-based violence. Yet many survivors still lack access to coordinated support that helps them heal and rebuild their lives.

Communities want girls to be safe. Survivors want the chance to heal. Leaders want lasting solutions. We help build the systems that make that possible.

It's proven. Survivors can't heal when trauma goes untreated. They struggle to stay in school. They face barriers to justice. Economic dependence limits their choices. Harmful practices such as FGM and child marriage continue to rob girls of their futures.

The result?Girls leave school.Young women remain trapped in cycles of poverty and violence.Communities lose future leaders.Families lose opportunities to thrive.

A world where every woman and girl can live free from violence, inequality, and poverty.

Our immediate goal? Transform the lives of thousands of women and girls across Kenya over the next three years through education, economic empowerment, leadership development, and protection services.

But our long-term ambition is even bigger.

By 2030, we aim to establish Girl Concern as a leading African model for survivor-centered empowerment, supporting women and girls across multiple countries through proven programs, strategic partnerships, and locally led solutions.

Then, our role shifts from implementer to enabler. We will share our knowledge, tools, and evidence-based approaches with governments, community organizations, and development partners so that effective solutions can be replicated and scaled far beyond our direct reach.

If this seems ambitious, it's because it is.

We believe that every woman and girl deserves the opportunity to thrive, lead, and shape her future. We will continue building sustainable pathways to dignity, opportunity, and justice until no woman or girl is left behind.

Our insatiablevission.

Our focused mission.

Girl Concern helps girls and young women heal, learn, and lead by creating survivor-centered systems that address violence, strengthen education, and unlock economic opportunities.

We know that when survivors heal, girls stay in school. When girls stay in school, they gain opportunities. When young women lead, communities transform.
